Zoe has a 500 ERYT designation through Yoga Alliance and has been authorized to teach by her Ashtanga teacher Manju Jois. Zoe began practicing Ashtanga Yoga with Manju Jois in Philadelphia in 1995. Following 3 years of study and practice with Manju, he encouraged her to begin teaching. She began teaching locally and took several teacher trainings with Manju between 1998 and 2004 in Philadelphia, California and New York. In 2005 and 2006 she traveled to India to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.  Upon returning to the United States, Zoe continued her daily asana practice and studies with Manju Jois whenever possible. Ultimately she found the Ashtanga Practice itself has become one of her greatest teachers.

Zoe began her study of Sanskrit in India. After returning to the United States, she took her first Weekend Sanskrit Training with Vyaas Houston, founder of the American Sanskrit Institute (ASI). The experience was life transforming. Since 2007 she has studied the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, various Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, excerpts from the Ramayana and the Sanskrit Grammar of Panini with Vyaas Houston. Sanskrit study has become key in her   understanding of the deeper aspects of yoga. Zoe has established a regular meditation practice based in the Yoga Sutras with Vyaas’ guidance.  She is currently a Sanskrit teacher for ASI. She has developed and coordinates the ASI Apprenticeship training. This training offers ASI students the opportunity to learn to teach Sanskrit Weekend Immersions as developed by Vyaas Houston.

In October 2010, Zoe opened Trishula Yoga School in Collingswood, NJ. Trishula is a unique Yoga School offering Traditional Ashtanga Mysore Style Practice, Yoga Philosophy, Classical Sanskrit and Meditation practices based in the Yoga Sutras.
